Things to Wear

The Roxy Ohana Rashguard

This rashguard is the best short sleeve sun-protection rashguard that I have found yet.  First of all, it comes in all women's sizes: From 4 to a 14. That is a huge step for rashguard manufacturers who have always made just S-M-L sizes assuming they will fit every body.

Secondly, it is made long in the torso, which is wonderful for kiteboarding, because it comes below the harness avoiding the common waist/hip chafe. And, what I've found so far, is that it stays there rather than riding up! If you still find that this rashguard wants to creep its way up your torso, simply use the boardshort connector loop on the bottom front edge of the rashguard to tie or loop it into boardshort button or tie string. Very trick.

Another great little detail on this rashguard is the elastic piping on the edge of the sleeves that keeps the sleeves from riding up to the shoulder. It is on the neck and waist as well and adds some femininity and function to an otherwise standard rashguard.

The 92% nylon and 8% spandex SPF 50 material is very breathable and dries very quickly when you get out of the water. In fact, while waiting for a tropical downpour to pass through the other day, I was actually staying dry in this rashguard.

Finally, this fully functional rashguard is styly! It comes in a nice range of colors other than black and has simple, but feminine graphic details on the front and back.
